Crazy Chameleon Body Piercing, Tattoo and Body Modification Forum Rules - MUST READRules for Participating in our ForumsWe welcome everyone in being able to participate in the community that Piercings.Net have built on our forums. In order for members' experiences to be the best as possible, and as with all social circles, there are rules that must be followed. No Self-Piercing Information or Help. Disallowed Links and Sites Be Respectful to the Moderators. Do Not Give Out Your Email Address. No Pornographic Material. Regarding Profanity. No Flames of any kind. Treat new members with respect, and vice-versa. Stay on Topic. Please do not change font size in posts. Signatures. Forum Usernames. No Username Changing Abuse. Regarding Solicitation and Spamming. Restricted Access. Advanced Forums. Posting Images. Advertisements. No Self-Piercing Information or Help. Sorry, we only advocate Professional, Safe Piercing and Modifications, you will not give or ask advice on Self-Piercing, Tattooing or Modifications. This is the fastest way to be banned. Disallowed Links and Sites Some sites are considered content risks to our users. This includes sites selling piercing or tattooing supplies to the public, sites with do-it-yourself information, and sites with extreme content that is inappropriate for all ages. As such, we ask you not to link or reference such sites, including BME. Searching for such sites is done at your own risk. Note: Naming such sites (except to provide piercing supplies or DIY instructions) is allowed in the "iamlegal" forums only. Be Respectful to the Moderators. Our moderators are volunteers, and have helped many hundreds of people. Disrespecting or attacking a forum moderator will get you banned. If you disagree with the statements of a moderator, keep your responses intelligent, civil and on-subject. No personal attacks or flames will be tolerated. Do Not Give Out Your Email Address. We have made a point to keep our forums safe for everyone, and we cannot protect you if you give out your email addresses asking people to contact you personally, since some people could contact you and give you incorrect and dangerous information. This rule includes messenger id's and any other contact method. No Pornographic Material. Any pornographic oriented imagery or links to such content will not be tolerated. There are sometimes when Piercing or Tattoo Pictures will be posted, remember there is no need to pose nude to show off your eyebrow piercing. Regarding Profanity. While profanity, when used properly, is an effective way of conveying emotion and/or thoughts, when abused it can be detrimental and offensive. We have a profanity filter for a reason, and bypassing this filter in your posts or in your signature is not acceptable. No Flames of any kind. Flames are considered a deliberate personal attack on another member or group of members. Having a difference of opinion is fine, but if it gets out of hand and turns into a fight to get the biggest jab at the other person, then its gone too far. If you flame another member you can and will be banned from all Piercings.Net related sites. If you are a long standing member, act like one. Lead by example and assist other newer members rather then attacking them. We look upon our veteran members to use this opportunity to teach the newer members the appropriate way to use these message boards. We choose our Moderators from our long standing members, those who have been the most helpful to other members. Treat new members with respect, and vice-versa. You were new at one point, as was everyone else. Please treat newcomers to the forums with respect, and new members should treat everyone else the same way. Stay on Topic If you want to talk about something that is drastically removed from the topic of a forum, please take it to General Chatting. The General Chatting is an Off Topic forum, it is for members to discuss issues not related to a specific Body Art, or even Body Art at all. We welcome most general conversation in the General Chatting Off Topic forum, but discourage it from the other Body Art Forums. Regarding Font Face/Size/Color. Changing font size causes posts to take up too much space. Changing colors and fonts often makes posts hard to read, if not completely unreadable. All of these often make posts annoying. Please do not change these features or your posts will be edited. Signatures In order to keep our forums as uncluttered and fast as possible, please keep all signatures no taller than 4 lines of standard sized text. This includes images, which we ask be no larger in file size than 10kb. Forum Usernames Please do NOT use a user name containing any form of profanity or offensive descriptions. FIRST AND LAST WARNING – Inappropriate usernames will be banned on sight, please create a new, more appropriate username to return to our forums. We have done this and will continue to do this to keep this forum professional and mature. No Username Changing Abuse. These are a luxury and abuse of them will result in them being lost. Make sure you choose a member name that you want to keep. Remember the Forum Administrators can tell when people are posting under multiple usernames, and that person could be banned for doing so. If a user returns with a new username after being banned by an administrator, their second account will be banned as well. Upon a third occurance, the user's internet service provider will be contacted regarding the user's violation of the terms of service. No Solicitation or Spam of any Kind. Spamming is characterized by the initiation of threads or posts that contribute nothing to a forum, be it off topic or on topic. Examples include: advertisements, empty posts, posts with few words that have no relation to the current thread or discussion and those posts that state they are spam, either to annoy or increase a member's post count. Dragging up old threads for no reason will also be considered spam. This determination is made by the forum Moderator or Administrator and is not up for discussion. Any users that send spam via private message or email to other users, whether it be regarding other forums, our forums, our chat room, advertisements, etc. will be immediately banned from these forums upon complaint from other users. Restricted Access. In order to protect our users, we have restricted access to the Nipple Piercing, Genital Piercing and Extreme Modification forums. By entering the password "iamlegal" you are confirming that you are of legal age in your area to have these piercings. Legal age in the USA is 18 years old or older, depending on state. If you access these forums illegally (underage), you will be banned. Advanced Forums. Warning - extreme content may be present. Click Here to Request Access. If you apply with an invalid email address and we cannot contact you by email, your application will be denied and/or your access removed. This is an Advanced Discussion Body Modification Forum for users of 18 years of age or older, or 16 with parental permission. The posts and replies in this forum may be outside of Accepted and Conventional Body Modification practices, this includes after care, and more open discussion about Body Modification. This forum is NOT for the common information allowed in the regular Body Modification, Tattooing and Body Piercing Forums. Rules: No Flaming, and No Pornography, that is it. This Forum is Password Protected. Posting Images. Please link to images when possible instead of posting the image itself, especially if the image comes from another company, as it is often illegal to post their images without their consent. Advertisements. Advertisements classified as "spam" will be deleted and your account will be banned. If you would like to be a contributing member of our boards, feel free to make up to a 4 line signature advertising your site and add it to each of your posts. Otherwise, please contact our webmaster- webmaster (at) piercings.net and consider $75 a week or $150 (starting 2004) a month for a graphic ad at the top of EVERY page, guaranteed to be seen an average of 13,000 times a day!
