Labret Studs - the shaft is measured in "length" between the end and the ball, how thick the shaft is the "gauge"
Circular Barbells - the bar is measured in "Diameter" between the inside opening of the jewelry, how thick the bar is the "gauge".
Captive Bead Ring - the bar is measured in "Diameter" between the inside opening of the jewelry, how thick the bar is the "gauge".
Bent Barbells - the shaft is measured in "length" between both balls, how thick the shaft is the "gauge".
Nose Screws - the shaft is measured in "length" between the bend and the top end, how thick the shaft is the "gauge".
Plugs - the shaft is measured in "length" from end to end, the space between the lip or ridges if there is one (or two) is called "Useable Space" or "Saddle", how thick the shaft is even if it is hollow is the "gauge".
